Justyce's Birthday party was at the Kid Barn and it was so fun! Funny story... So Alan was going down the slide as you seen in one picture with justyce on his back... well, this other kid aiden was following riiiiiiiight behind him and when alan got to the bottom, the other kid smashed right into him between the legs... it was quite funny, but i was laughing too hard that i didn't get a shot of it actually happening, just right before and right after. I want to go back to that place sometime, even though I got some vinyl rug burn on my elbow.. ouch.. great idea sliding down on our stomachs, shan... great idea... hahaha

It's been a while since I've taken pictures of my girls, so last night we randomly went down the street and did it america's next top model style. They were oh so fierce for me! hahahaha i love them!

Hello Kitty and Sushi Cake!

So, here it is! I'm so excited with how it turned out. The picture isn't very good, it's just with nathans crappy camera but you get the picture! The bottom layer has pearl glitter all over it, and around the tiers there is black and white polka dot ribbon. Lindsay came over last night and helped me finish this one and make a cake for alans farewell that is today. For him we ended up making a huge sushi roll looking cake! (He's going to Hong Kong on his mission so we thought that was funny)... That one turned out cool too.

So... here is the rest:

9. I've recently discovered that I black out while driving in bad snowy weather. Yup, that's right... black out. Stop breathing and can't see anything for a couple seconds. It's quite scary and that's why I don't like leaving the house when its snowing.


10. I really like the show word world on like kued or whatever that smart little kid channel is. Me and Mado watched it this morning and I think I was more into it than she was.

I've been tagged

1. I experience Deja vu quite often. I'm talking like a couple times a week. It's creepy.


2. I have an obsession with homemade tortillas. Unfortunatley I don't eat them as must as I did in texas... they just aren't the same in utah. I miss a good los palopos, ma's tacos, or HEB fresh tortilla with butter.. mmm..... I miss texas!


3. I go on what I like to call music binges. For a week or 2 straight I will put a CD in my car on repeat until I know every single song and word. The most recent ones I've been on are The Beatles, Cake, Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, and now I'm on Sara Bareilles.


4. I have turned into a blog stalker. Ever since I've realized the goodness of Google Reader, I seriously check blogs like twice a day at least. It's wonderful if you haven't used that yet! All your blogs in 1 place! There are about 10 personal blogs of friends that I read, and about 20 or 30 photographers blogs. A bit obsessive I think... oh well!


5. I love hosting parties! I can't wait until we have a better party hosting house. As a matter of fact, I check utahrealestate.com, craigslist, ksl, and utahhomes.com daily to find a house that me and nathan would both love. That's a 2 for 1 fact about me... Here's the current house that I'm liking today:


6. I have reoccuring nightmares, they are pretty vivid and I don't like them. That's all I wish to say about these :) No picture for this one

7. I can quote a couple movies entirely. And I mean like every single word, the entire movie.... Monty Python and the holy grail, and Anchorman. Wonderful movies :)
Tis but a flesh wound! Your arms off... no it isn't!


8. Milk. well, I love the stuff, but it has to be FRESH! I mean real Fresh. At the grocery store I stick my arm and head to the veeeeeeerry back of the fridge thing to get the newest milk. Then, I have to drink it every day or else I won't drink it anymore. Weird I know. If I go a day without drinking it, somehow it always smells bad to me. Milk expirations are no good. You can't tell anything from them. If it says Feb 15th, I won't drink it after like the 10th. Grossssssss

i'm the new ace of cakes

well... not really, but someday I will be. If you don't know what that is, it's a TV show on like the food network or something about a bakery called Charm City Cakes. I'm pretty much addicted to the show. They make the most amazing cakes like these:







Anyways, today I taught myself how to make, roll, dye, and cover a cake with fondant. I'm pretty impressed... it's not as hard as people make it out to be. I am going to make my neice Justyce a Hello Kitty cake for her birthday Saturday so today was my test run. Here is what it looks like so far:

Note- I haven't put on eyes, nose, or whiskers yet but in the end it will look like a cake version of hello kitty:
