Christmas Morning

Before my camera died on Christmas morning, here are some pictures.  (i'm a great photographer I know right..)  Anyways, here is the kitchen for London that I slaved over for a month or two.  LOVE it though.  Lincoln has a blast with it too.  My parents spent the night here Christmas Eve so that was fun having them here in the morning to open presents with us.  After doing stuff at our house, we went over to Nathans parents house for their thing.  Then we went to Orem to visit my Grandma.  It was a great day.

Santa visit

It was that time of year again to torture the kiddos with visiting the jolly old man.  Lincoln of course wouldn't sit on his lap and would only barely get within arms reach to give him knuckles.  London didn't get a choice and sat on his lap.  Screaming of course, but I don't mind.  Cutest santa pictures are always the crying ones.

Max the Elf

Max the elf came to visit us this year!  We had a welcome breakfast with some new jammies, green eggs, and red (pink) pancakes.  The christmas tree was up and ready to be decorated so after breakfast we got to put up all the ornaments.

London's 1 year photos

Okay, so I've slacked majorly on this blog.  Here are London's one year photos from October!  She's my little doll.  14.5 months old now and still no teeth and still no walking.  She's a stubborn little gal.  Love her.

Lincoln's conversations

Me- "go slide down the slide"
Linc- "no, mom. It's too hot."
Me- "no it's not hot at all."
Linc- "It's too hot! It's too bright from the sun." *points to the sun*
Then he proceeds carefully to walk over to it and touch it with one finger until he realized it actually wasn't hot.

On another note. As we were driving along, there was a crazy sprinkler shooting into the street. So what do I do? Naturally I roll Lincoln's window down and get as close as I can to the water. (what can I say, I'm my dads child.) Lincoln don't think it was funny and when I started laughing he says. "No Mom! Not funny, mom, not funny!!"
It was hilarious.

Funny potty training stories

1. We put a baby gate outside Lincoln's door because in the morning he wakes up at random times and does stuff around the house before we wake up. Well, this morning around 7:45 I wake up to him climbing into bed with me. We snuggle for a while then I decide to get up. As I'm walking into the kitchen I can tell exactly what he's been up to. Kitchen chair is pulled up to the sink, banana peel in the sink, he had gotten into the cupboard, spilled bottles everywhere to get a cup, filled it with water and spilled a water line all the way to the table. Then I go into the bathroom: DRY diaper from overnight on the floor, pee in his potty, lid closed, moved over to bathroom sink, soap right next to the sink, as well as the potty treats (who knows how many he ate). I went back to my bed and he was laying there with his pajama shorts back on.
2. During naptime today I went to lunch with Shan. When I get back Nathan had this story for me. He was working downstairs and Lincoln woke up and went to the baby gate outside of his door. He couldn't hold it in so he dropped his pants and peed through the gate into the hallway. Good thing we have wood floors throughout the house!
3. A little tidbit. This boy refuses to sit on the potty. He stands and gyrates his hips to aim his pee.

I'm pretty confident in saying that he is pee potty trained! We are still working on the poop thing though. Maybe I can convince him to just stand over his potty to poop.

Sorry, TMI. And sorry future Lincoln for sharing all your embarrassing stories on the Internet. Haha :)

Potty training day 1: success

He did so good yesterday his first day of potty training. Only wet himself when he couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough. He gets candy for #1 and a toy for #2.

Duck time at the library

Every Tuesday the library has fun activities for kids. This week was duck week. The made paper ducks, raced ducks by blowing the in water with a straw, and made duck cake pops.

Headless mannequin

Lincoln just walked up to this mannequin in the store and held her hand for at least a minute, just staring at her lack of head. It was hilarious. And apparently he hadn't been on very many escalators. It was a total elf moment from the movie, followed by him running down the upstairs escalators screaming at the top of his lungs, meanwhile the mean mom (me) just fell down laughing so hard I almost peed. Yup it was awesome.

27...ugh

Well I'm now 27 years old. Old. Ugh. It was a good day though. Met up with the fam for lunch then Chelsea came over and watched the kids do I could go hang out with Emily, Carlie, corinn, and Melissa. It was a fun night! We stopped by Denny's to get a free meal :)
Nathan always puts a card and candy in the kitchen for me to wake up to. Well that day apparently Lincoln learned how to get out of his room. I heard some noise in the kitchen at 7am and went in there to find Lincoln sorting at the table.... Eating 1 1/2 candy cars and looking at my birthday card. Just content and casual as could be. It was pretty funny but now I need to figure out a way to reach him to wake me up when he gets up.

Time with daddy

We went on a drive up hobble creek canyon for a while. The rover overheated so we got to stop for a while and teach Lincoln how to use the binoculars.
