Our first born is 2

While all our attention might be focused on Lincoln nowadays, we're trying not to leave out poor charlie too much. His 2nd birthday was on April 20th! I can't believe we've had him for almost 2 years now. I gotta say, he is the best dog ever. His personality fits in so well with ours, and he is so smart! He can sit, stay, catch, play dead, give us 5, give us 10, dance, and other things I can't think of right now. Not to mention his other less than awesome talents like clearing out a room FAST with silent but deadly farts, impressive long audible farts, storing food for days in his jowls, smearing said food on your legs just by walking past him, and the ablity to knock down a full grown adult if you walk on the wrong side of the stairs. Here is our cute lil (BIG) pup last year on his bday :)

i love this baby...

tulip festival

It's been so nice having time off from work to be able to do "outings" during the day. Shan, mom and me decided to go to thanksgiving point and check out the tulip festival. It's pretty funny hanging out with Shan now because we have to take 2 cars wherever we go now... then we walk around with 2 big strollers and 2 walking kids... it's pretty surreal that we have kids still...

oops! I was distracting adalee during a little family photo :)

Birch Creek

We took a last minute trip down to Fountain Green to have a camp fire at Birch Creek. Nathan even got to fly on my dads flying contraption. I'm not sure there will be a 2nd time... let's just say that it was a bit of a rocky ride and scared me to death...

Silly Nathan...

Check out a comparison in Ada & Lincoln's feet! WOW!

I thought this was so cute :)

Lincoln+Charlie=BFF

i love my boys.

Lincoln's first out of state trip :)

A couple days ago we decided we needed to get out and do something fun. Randy, Shan, and their kiddos were in wendover for the day so we decided to drive out there and hang out with them. Yes, our 2 1/2 week old's first trip was to Wendover. haha
It was quite the last minute trip, but I'm glad we did it. It was nice having a long drive and just talking the whole time. Lincoln barely even noticed that we had left the house. He slept the whole way there and back, and most of the time that we were there. We sat by the hot tub while we waited for the dinner buffet to open up and waded. Then off to the buffet! It was yummy and totally worth the 3 hour drive. haha After watching Randy and Shan play some poker we headed back to the car and found out that some jerk hit their truck in the parking lot- no fun..
This was the only picture I got unfortunately... next time I'll have to remember to bust out the camera more!

Dancin'

Nathan was making him dance on the counter... His face was hilarious!

almost 2 weeks

His favorite sleeping hours are 8am-noon
He has a very serious face complete with wrinkled forehead
He loves his swing and the sound of crickets on the swing, or white noise on my iphone app
He loves riding in the car... stop lights- not so much
He has huge hands for a newborn, but the rest of him is still tiny

We've survived!

...the first 13 days at least... I couldn't have made it without the help of my mom. She stayed with us until yesterday to help us out with everything around the house. I'm still quite sore and definitely needed the extra help with making food, doing household stuff, and anything else, so my mom was our lifesaver. She even gave us a night off of parent duty and let us go out to dinner with just me and nathan. It was really nice, but we were excited to get home to our baby again : )
THANKS MOM!!!
