Quick cute story...

So last night around 3am Lincoln wakes up (totally not normal) and starts to cries. And cries and cries and then about 45 minutes of that (i was only half awake and his cries turned into my dreams) starts screaming. Terrible-somethings-wrong-screaming. I hurry and run to his room, flip his light on, and there he is sitting in the corner of his crib with his arm stretched out as far as he could out the slats towards the rocking chair next to his crib. Apparently he threw his sock monkey out of the crib then wanted it back but it was like a half inch away from his grasp. That's it. I hurried and gave it back to him and he immediately laid down hugging it and was completely content. Asleep within minutes I'm sure. It was actually pretty funny the next morning, but not at 3:45am.
He's pretty amazing. I love his quirky and loving personality that comes out so much now!

trip to gma+gpas house

We took a last minute trip to my parents house today because my mom called and said she was making eggrolls. That was all it took :)
Lincoln got to see lots of sheep that are in the field next to their house, then we took a drive out to their property to see the new calf. He was so interested in watching the cows!

Taking a tractor ride with grandpa... he wasn't a huge fan...

He didn't like when dad got a tractor ride either- he was scared for him.

Mr. cool guy with his glasses :)

juice lover

...and he is finally getting in his 4th tooth! His final front tooth is poking through. He's such a late teether but I'm totally okay with that. It means he still semi-looks like a baby even though he's my big boy :) Teething is super easy too- I can never tell when his tooth is about to come in because he's such a trooper and acts totally normal still. SO NICE!
Here he is showin off his new pearly whites!

Lincoln's First Bday Party

We had a little party for Lincoln's birthday at our house. We did a cute vintage sock monkey themed. Russ & I worked on getting all the food ready for hours and hours, and everything turned out great! We had the chocolate fountain up and running with some crisp bacon to dip in it. yup... bacon. We had such a good time with everyone. When it was time for Lincoln to dive in to his birthday cake, he didn't really do it like we thought he would. He was very slow and picked off a tiny piece at a time. (Until all the other kids started digging in to the same cake moments later)... yum! Since it turned out to be nice weather, Nathan hurried and finished our benches around the deck (YAY!) and the kids got to play on the playset for a while.
I can't believe my little guy is one already. He has been the best thing ever to happen to us. He brings such joy to our lives. He's going to be such a great big brother, I know it.

little mad is almost one!

We went out tonight to get some quick 1 year old shots of Lincoln next to this cool car that we found for sale on the side of the road. Lincoln is seriously the best model for me. He just chills wherever we put him and looks around. I love his serious face so much, so I didn't even try to get him to smile. Adorable.

Startin early...

Lincoln loves to "ride" on motorcycles and "drive" cars. This kid is pure man already :)
