Easter

On Easter, we were in Sacramento as our pit stop on our way to Yosemite. I felt really bad for not having a real Easter planned for Lincoln since we were on the road, so we searched and found an easter egg hunt at this place called Fairytale Land. It was a pretty cool place, they had a bunch of fairy tales with something associated with it. Like a huge slide with the rhyme the little lady who lived in a shoe. They had a crooked "mile" to walk on that was really cute. They had a pig pen for the 3 little pigs. A yellow brick road that you could walk, etc. Anyways, they had the easter egg hunts sectioned off into age group, so we were in the 0-3 month one. They literally sectioned off a piece of grass and dumped the eggs in a huge pile in the middle. When they did the countdown and said go, it was a madhouse! All the parents running in to grab as many eggs as they could. While, me and Lincoln just went for the first egg we saw and got out of there. It was a mad house. They said that no matter how many eggs you got, you would redeem the empty eggs for just one prize per kid. So we got our one egg and ran over to the redemption line. When we were almost to the front, we realized that Lincoln had dropped his egg somewhere along the way! Nathan hurried and ran back and got 2 mismatched pieces to stick together so that Lincoln would get his prize. It was quite the experience! Still fun though :)
After that, we headed to our hotel near Yosemite, and gave Lincoln his easter basket full of goodies. He got a pool floatie, a beach ball, pop rocks (we thought he would be funny- but he loved them!), chocolate, and some other little goodies.
It was a great day spending the time with my boys.
