Shan, Mado, Tanner, and future baby

Yesterday, Shan and I went out with the kids to try to get some pictures of them. It was crazy storming all around us, but thankfully we didn't get any rain. It is so much harder taking their pictures than my normal clients because the kids are so comfortable around me. We got a couple good ones though!

My favorite I think:

texas trip

I was able to go to texas earlier this month to do Becca's engagement and bridal pictures! It was a great trip, but waaaaay too short! It was awesome being able to see Becca, Joe, and my old friend Bruce that i've known since 1st grade. It's been way too long. I got to stay with Russ&Laura and see my nephews Seth & Jaiden so that was my favorite part for sure! They are growing up so fast and I miss everyone in Texas so much. We went to canyon lake to go swimming and had a little bbq there.

one craaaaazy night

The night of Ashleys wedding, Kremer was in town and I was leaving the next morning at 7:30am so we only had one night to party hard like we used to. About 11pm we decided to pull an all-nighter. It consisted of lots of driving around (probably 170ish miles) and crazy conversations, and yummy and gross food. After a trip to molca salsa for some amazing "rolled tacos" and krispy kreme, and sugar sugar sugar, we made it to sunrise the next morning! we were going to try to watch the sun come up but i ended up leading us on the wrong side of the mountain to be able to see a good sunrise. It was lots of fun to catch up with eachother after all these years. we took lots of priceless pictures, but here are some of my favs:

Temples

My great friend Carlie and I have been going to all the temple to do baptisms as much as we can. Our goal is to at least go to all of them in Utah and the surrounding area. So far, we have done Salt Lake, Draper, Jordan River, and Bountiful. We are going to try to take a picture at all of them too, even though we forgot to at Salt Lake. Oh well, It's been great to have someone to go to the Temple with! Love ya Carlie!

Grandpa

Grandpa Despain passed away a couple days ago just in time for memorial day. He was such a great guy. Always had a fun sense of humor, and thought he could do anything even in his old age. I love how he just took Nathan right in to the family so easily. Since Nathans grandpas both passed away before I met Nathan, and my Grandpa Rasmussen passed away right after we met, Gpa Despain has been both of ours only Grandpa left for years now. We loved going on Sunday trips to their house to talk, play cards, and eat whatever food my grandma would make us eat :)
Grandpa was such a funny card player. The last couple times we played 3 to 13, he won both rounds and he was so excited! He would never really say how excited he was, but the small grin on his face and the line "Gloria always wins, this was just a fluke" was just hilarious to me. I'm glad Grandma let him win those last few games he played with us ;) Grandpa also made Nathan smile the biggest I've probably ever seen him smile. (You remember that mom?! Think Mole)
Today everyone is going to Birch Creek in Fountain Green to have a BBQ and have a small family memorial for him. That was his favorite place in the world and if his heaven isn't just like birch creek, I don't know what it would be. I just wish he had a chance to go to the big campout that is there in a couple weeks. Last year he came around to each of us kids and grandkids and made us promise that we would all be there this year.

I'm not very good with writing or words, so this will have to do for an ending:
I love you Grandpa, I'll miss you lots, and we'll keep Birch Creek lookin good for you.
