Valentines Day

I'm a bit behind, huh! On Valentines day, Nathan had to work so we got to spend lunch together, then he went off to work. Emily was our date that night, so we drove to Orem to eat at The Chocolate, a yummy bakery that a friend from texas works at.

London's first taste of food

Cousins!

For the past couple days I stated at Shans house to watch the kids while they celebrated their 10 year anniversary on a cruise! 10 years! Wow! That's crazy. Anyways, it was an eventful couple days. My children wanted to be just like her kids. Lincoln wanted to pee in the toilet like ada does. (he went from waking up in the morning to his 3:00 nap going potty in the toilet 4 times! He went once in his big kid undies and did NOT enjoy that. This kid doesn't like spilled milk (unless he does it on purpose) so just imagine his horror when he realized that when you per in underwear, you get wet all over.) ya. That was fun :) anyways, today we are back in a diaper but I don't think it will be too long til he's ready to really do it.
The other copycat is London with Lyla. I was feeding Lyla her dinner and London was looking longingly at it wanting some. So she got her first taste of rice cereal. She loved it and thought it was fun to eat. She had the funniest expression and kept blowing bubbles out her mouth. Anyways, it was fun! 6 kids can definitely be a handful but it wasn't as crazy as I thought it might be!

Um ya. My niece is ADORABLE!

How cute is this letter she gave to London? "I hope your heart feels better"! I mean, come on! That made me tear up.

Froggy Party with Grandma

My mom loves to put together little tea parties for the kiddos. (and us, and her I guess)
This time she made it frog themed to try to incorporate Tanner and Lincoln a little bit more. I got the kids all dressed up, dapper as always, and headed over to Shan's house. London got to wear my fancy schmancy dress from when I was a baby. Lincoln got a sweet new fedora and he rocked his studly glasses too.
My mom had a meal of frog legs (chicken strips), frog eye salad, flies on a log (celery, pb, and raisins), and swamp mud (oatmeal fart farts). After eating, she planned all sorts of great games and activities for the kids. I don't think they sat still the whole time! (Except for the story time part)
She got them pinwheels, played leap frog, played a jumping on the lily pad game, blowed bubbles, colored a frog, read a frog book (with froggie from the 80's on her shoulder), sang frogs on a log, and got some sweet froggy treats. (Francisco, was it?! haha)

Bad luck London

That should be her new nickname. She's had a heart murmur that they've been keeping tabs on since she was born. When I took her in last week for RSV, the doc noticed it getting louder. So yesterday we took her in for an EKG and Echo of her heart. As soon as the cardiologist listened to her though the stethoscope, he knew she had a PDA. I had the same thing when I was little. It's basically part of the heart that is supposed to close up after birth but it doesn't close. It causes extra strain on the heart by pumping unnecessary blood through. The odd thing about this is that it's not hereditary and most common in preemies (2 out of 1,000) and I was definitely NOT a preemie- almost a month late- (sorry mom) , and London wasn't a preemie either. So the chances of both of us having it was pretty coincidental. When I was 2, I had open heart surgery to correct it which left me with a sweet huge scar on my back. It was great news though that nowadays they can usually correct it with a procedure through a catheter instead of major surgery. Yay! We go in on the 16th up to primary children's and they'll do an ink test first to make sure the catheter procedure will work. Fingers crossed!

Here she is at the docs office. She LOVED the cardiologist because he naturally smiles the whole time he talks, so she would just stare at him with the biggest grin. She layed so still during the echo too. It took over an hour and she slept through most of it.
